The Village Hall - Street Market
A Street Market is held on August Bank Holiday Monday every two years in Langham along Church Street and in the Village Hall. The last six street markets have been record-breaking successes and happily blessed with beautiful weather making for a fantastic day out for the many thousands of happy visitors.  All proceeds from Village Hall stalls, refreshments, tombola, raffle and street market pitch fees are used for village hall refurbishments and maintenance to benefit the whole village (charity number 522341).  In 2013 there were nearly one hundred stalls altogether and as well as the usual white elephant, books, tombola and raffle, there were market stalls selling everything imaginable and much more besides.  The grand barbecue outside the Village Hall and the refreshments inside did a roaring trade and accounted for more than half of the total proceeds for the Village Hall which amounted to more than £3500.  This is due to all the hard work of the helpers who made the

day a success,  the generosity of local people for donations to the Village Hall stalls, raffle and tombola and of course the many villagers, friends, visitors and holidaymakers who had an enjoyable day out supporting a very worthy cause.   On the strength of the result an order has been placed for the two remaining new double glazed windows for the Village Hall.
