Langham in Rutland
Open Land
Open land on the edge of the village has a large area for allotments, but also provides a playing field and a wildlife site. There is a small football field and play equipment for younger children, which are well used. The wildlife site, known as Langham Woodlands, has been developed by the villagers who have planted many shrubs and trees, mainly of native origin, and sown a wild-flower meadow. It is expected that as the plantings mature, this site will become a haven for wildlife and a quiet place for people to visit.
